1966 100 Watt JTM100 MkIII Plexi Model 1968 Folded Aluminum Chassis Marshall JTM100 MkIII 1966 Plexi Model 1968 Folded Aluminum Chassis Marshall JTM100 MkIII MkV Head 1966 Folded Aluminum Chassis White Plexi Back Panel Says MkIII Gold Plexi Front Panel Says MkV "VOX Slot" Air Vents This Head is from the earliest production 100 watt Marshalls made, with a gold plexi front control panel, and a white plexi back panel with gold letters and 4 digit serial number (69XX). It has the small slot type top air vents. The earliest Marshall 100 head cabinets used the small VOX vents before finally changing to the better known larger air vents with gold screen. Folded aluminum chassis is held down in the cabinet by four machine screws and four nuts. Has particularly large 3" Lay Down style Mains Transformer and 2" Power Transformer, and notice there are no filter caps mounted on the chassis. The Radio Spares filter caps are mounted on a sub board next to the main board inside the chassis. The Bulgin Plug was removed for the transition to USA use, but I have re-installed a new old stock Bulgin plug and the original white power cord has been retained with the Bulgin end. Check out those Radio Spares caps mounted on a sub board inside the chassis next to the main. Marshall Logo is a gold edge reissue. Back panel is a replacement. Tone is classic Marshall. Drop it on a vintage 4X12 100 watt cabinet and watch the jaws drop. This head can run 2 cabinets and sound even better. These early 100 watters are beautiful and they are also super rare. Sings sweetly and is in perfect working order. Call Paul at 401 722 5837 for info. |
